18 Digitised stubs used on the Gifts website

A digital stub is a string of alphanumeric character recognition files that 18 Gifts website ("18 Gifts Website") uses to store a digital stub file in your browser on your computer's hard drive. We are able to use digital stubs to personalise and/or retain personal data for you when you browse our web pages, either across multiple pages or in one or more sections of the same page. Most browsers automatically accept digital stubs, but you can change the options to block them if you wish.

18 Two types of digital stubs are used on the Gifts website:
Temporary Stub - A stub file that is temporarily stored in your browser until you leave the site.
Long-term digital stubs - digital stub files that are stored in your browser for a longer period of time (the time depends on the storage period of the individual digital archive).
The digital stub file cannot be used to identify you personally.
How we use the digital stubs on the Mitzvah website (examples below):

Provisional Digital Stub

    • This allows you to browse the pages of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Group's website without having to re-enter the information, such as logging in and being able to navigate to a different page.
    • Allows you to retrieve data saved after registration.
    • Let the system remember your choice when you book your tickets online.

Long-term digital stubs

    • Compiling anonymous statistical data allows us to better understand how users use our website and helps us to improve the structure of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Group website. We do not recognise you as an individual.
    • Save your selected country page.

Third party digital stubs

    • Identify and track information from third-party website advertising banners linked to this website.

Stop/Start Digital Stub

All browsers version 4.0 or above have the "Filter Stubs" feature in the privacy settings.

By adjusting your browser settings, you have the right to accept or decline the storage of digital stubs. However, if you reject cookies altogether, you may not be able to use all the interactive features of our website.
Most browsers automatically accept digital stubs, but you can change your browser options to block them if you want. You can change your browser options to block digital stubs.

You will need to configure each browser on each device you use to access the Internet. If you use multiple browsers (e.g. Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.), you should repeat this process one at a time. Similarly, if you are connecting to a website from multiple devices (e.g. at work and at home), you will need to set up each browser on each device. However, if you disable cookies or refuse to accept a request for a device cookie, some parts of the Site and some areas of the Site to which you need to log in may not function properly, and the advertisements you receive when you visit the Site may not be relevant to your interests.

For the time being, we will only use digital stubs in the areas listed above (in the statement), but we do not rule out the possibility of using new digital stubs in the future, as necessary, in order to bring you better service on our website.
